Built to Win.
Our goal is nothing less than to build the best website in the entire National Women’s Soccer League (or any league for that matter). We’re already delivering big for the newest NWSL expansion team, Bay FC, as well as football aficionados throughout the Bay Area — and beyond.
BlackWing Creative is immensely proud to have introduced the latest NWSL expansion team to the world. From day 1, we’ve been delivering an online presence that showcases the new franchise as a top-class organization. And we’re working diligently to represent Aly Wagner, Brandi Chastain, Danielle Slaton, Leslie Osborne, and the global investment firm, Sixth Street in the best light possible.
In less than three weeks, we designed, wrote, programmed and launched a hype site engineered to generate buzz and gather sign-ups prior to the official approval of a Bay Area NWSL expansion team. The buzz website was sticky — over 15% of unique visitors signed up for our fan club. And season ticket reservations took off like a rocket.
Once the team was officially named, we introduced the Bay FC brand and team vision via a new WordPress site. Meticulous care and extensive planning have ensured that the new site is built to evolve as the team rapidly scales up to take the pitch for its inaugural 2024 season.
Designed to Perform.
Website user experience and fan engagement were the driving forces behind the design and structure of the site. We implemented a clean, modern, elegant interface that’s easy to navigate and interact with on any device, especially mobile.
Our typography is big and bold. Our copy is compelling and to the point. Our color palette is minimalist in order to build equity and familiarity with the new brand and to unify the entire site. And, we are continually working with the marketing, PR and fan engagement teams at Bay FC to integrate social feeds, news and community events into the site.
Merch Sales Are Fire.
Our efforts to continually rotate promotions and highlight new merchandise, including new Nike branded apparel, have resulted in outstanding sales revenue. In fact, the merch is flying off warehouse shelves so fast it’s been hard for production to keep pace.
Ticketmaster Integration Coming Soon.
We’re on the verge of connecting the site to all forms of ticket sales, including single-game, group and season tickets.
This Is Just the Beginning.
As we march toward Bay FC’s first-ever NWSL match day, the site will continue to evolve with player announcements, a roster page, individual player pages, an expanded community section and more.
